Marketing plan is a document that outlines the overall marketing efforts with both strategic and tactical activities
around the product or IP solution to realize the defined objectives. It is prepared by the Product Marketing Manager.
The marketing plan document shall define the key objectives and marketing strategies defined to accomplish the
objectives. The strategy and plan of implementation shall be prepared after thorough analysis of market data,
qualitative and quantitative analysis, stage of the product in its life cycle. The plan shall have details of how
different components of marketing mix (product, price, promotion, people, place, and process) will be used. The
document shall also contain details of resources and investments required.
